Clutter
Posted by Kit in development, spirituality on September 1, 2010
Clutter is stagnant energy. Every time we walk past a broken door knob or pull out a wobbly drawer, for example, an irritation is set up. The unconsious will quickly suppress it, but this suppression takes an energy toll.

A Cup of Sunlight : Discovering the Sacred in Everyday Life
I recently read “A Cup of Sunlight – Discovering the Sacred in Everyday Life” by Juliet Batten and enjoyed this passage about a simple daily ritual to remember to be present in nature and the elements.
“I decided to make a shrine in the garden, and in the centre of the lawn set up an inverted planter saucer into four, and in each I placed a symbol for one of the four directions: scarlet nasturtiums for fire in the north, and incense stick for air in the east, a tiny bowl of water in the west, and some green leaves for earth in the south.
When my seven year old granddaughter came to visit I showed her the altar, explaining how the four directions were represented. She saught on immediately, finding red berries to add for fire and then a circle of purple petals around the incense holder. She filled the water bowl and put a blue number 6 in it (the colour blue was clearly what she wanted and ingeniously took a fridge magnet to do it). Then she found variegated leaves for earth and, finally, a baby grapefruit.
Tending this altar each day became a simple task, yet it opened me up to the garden in a whole new way. When filling the water bowl I reflected on the element of water and wondered whether the plants were getting enough, or too much. I began to notice where the lawn was dry and cracked. I watched the clouds to see if they were brining rain, as spring passed nto summer. As I placed the nasturtiums, I reflected on how hard it was for the sun’s fire to enter this garden, and wondered if it was time to open things up a little. As I lit the incense I became aware of the many seeds and pioellens that travelled on the air. With the leaves, the symbol of the earth, I celebrated the green health of this place. Tending to the altar drew me down the steps and into the world of the garden.”
Auras, colour, light and meditations
Posted by Kit in healing, spirituality on July 28, 2010
Here’s some cool meditations for bringing different coloured lights into your being to help with different things. These are taken from “Change Your Aura, Change Your Life” by Barbara Y Martin.
Here is what the book suggests…Get yourself in the usual meditation positions and surroundings. Then…
Step 1. Protection
Stand up, hold your arms out, and envision yourself surrounded by a golden bubble of light about arms length from your body. Envision seven flows of this light surrounding you and keeping you in perfect safety while you say something along the lines of….
Encircle me now in a golden bubble of protective light. I ask for seven flows of the light to surround me, keeping me perfectly protected.
Step 2. Connect with your higher self
Keep your hands on your solar plexus Chakra, right hand over left to help polarise the energy as it flows through you. Begin my placing your attention at your higher self point (24 inches above your head).
Step 3. Invocation
The book then suggests this invocation:
“Heavenly Father, Holy Mother God, I raise my consciousness into Thy consciousness where I become One with Thee. I ask to receive that which I need and that which I need to know now.”
Really? Is my higher self so old-fashioned that it still uses words like ‘thy’ and ‘thee’? I’m not really comfortable with ‘Heavenly Father. Holy Mother God’. Does my higher self not understand my common language? Maybe my higher self is Chinese? Maybe I should be speaking Russian? Or robot? Personally I don’t see the issue with saying something like…
“Yo higher self. Thanks for being awesome. Hugely appreciated. I’m now gonna raise my consciousness so we become one. I’ll also ask if you could send down everything I need and need to know. Thanks a mill. Let’s do it.”
It certainly feels less like I’m speaking to some ancient dude who isn’t up with the times and the lingo and let’s be honest, if it’s my higher self, I think it will understand me just fine right?
Anyway… as you say these words, place your attention into your higher self point, becoming one with its divine essence.
Step 4. Down-ray the light
Once you have established a connection with your higher self, you can petition the light verbally. Verbalisation is important because it’s helps you to focus, while also making you a much more active participant in the light work.
As you ask for the energy you need, first see that energy down-rayed to the higher-self point. See the colour of the energy you are working with touching into and activating this point. From the higher self point, envision a beam of light moving down into the four spiritual centers you are working with (Third eye, Throat, Heart and Solar Plexus Chakras) or wherever you’re asking the light to go. As the light touches each centre, hold it there for a moment to feel the connection being made, knowing that these centres are being ignited with spiritual power. See the centre completely filling with the coloured light you’re asking for, and out-raying about a foot in all directions. Then ask for the particular divine qaulity you want the light to bring. You’ll be calling on the light using a meditative prayer ( see below).
As the light is being down-rayed to you, you may feel it as a rush of energy or a tingling sensation. You may feel heat, depending on what it’s doing and the degree of your sensitivity. Even if you feel nothing, the light is still working.
Step 5. Ground yourself
After you have received the light, be still for a moment to let it stablise throughout your consciousness. This way, you are grounded in the light. When you feel that the light is established in you, ask that it be anchored into each point, sealing in the light. It’s a good idea to ask that the golden ray of protection surround the light you have just received.
The book’s suggested ‘prayer’:
“I ask that the light I have just recieved be protected, sealed and anchored into the my centres and all aspects of my aura. I thank Thee that this is so, and so shall it ever be. So be it.”
or maybe just something like…
“Please seal that light in and anchor it into my centres and all aspects of my aura. Thanks. Let’s lock that in forever. So be it.”

Ayahuasca and Shamanism
Posted by Kit in healing, spirituality on July 5, 2010
What is it?
Ayahuasca (pronounced eye-a-wass-ka) provokes a profound state of altered consciousness that can lead to temporary “ego disintegration”, allowing people to move beyond their defense mechanisms into the depths of their unconscious minds…You come back with images, messages, even communications,” he explains. “You’re learning about yourself, reconceptualizing prior experiences. Having had a profound psycho-spiritual epiphany, you’re not the same person you were before. (from National Geographic)
Ayahuasca
I am planning a trip to Peru next year to attend an ‘Ayahusaca Spirirt Quest‘ . I am very curious and excited about the internal adventures and discoveries I might make on this retreat and what I might learn about the holistic practice of Shamanism. Having done a lot of research online, it became apparent that there are a number of inauthentic (dodgy) Ayahuasca ceremonies and operators in Peru. I was eventually directed by a couple of other seekers I came across online to the Spirit Quest website (which I am now redesigning in my other life as a web designer.)
More about Ayahuasca
From ayahuasca.com
After being virtually ignored by Western civilization for centuries, there has been a huge surge of interest in Ayahuasca recently. There is a growing belief that it is a kind of ‘medicine for our times’, giving hope to people with ‘incurable’ diseases like cancer and HIV, drug addictions and inspiring answers to the big ecological problems of modern civilization.
Spirituality is at the centre of the Ayahuasca experience. Purification and cleansing of body, mind, and spirit in a shamanic ceremony can be the beginning of a process of profound personal and spiritual discovery and transformation. This process can continue indefinitely even if one never drinks Ayahuasca again. One thing is sure, and that is that every person gets a unique experience. We believe that by seriously looking at the way Ayahuasca is used we can improve our life experience and benefit more from this medicine.
Ayahuasca is the jungle medicine of the upper Amazon. It is made from the ayahuasca vine ( Banisteriopsis Caapi) and the leaf of the Chacruna plant (Psychotria Viridis). The two make a potent medicine, which takes one into the visionary world. The vine is an inhibitor, which contains harmala and harmaline among other alkaloids, and the leaf contains vision-inducing alkaloids. As with all natural medicines, it is a mixture of many alkaloids that makes their unique properties. For example, Peyote, the cactus used by the North Native Americans, is said to contain 32 active alkaloids, so when one of those alkaloids, mescaline (LSD) is synthesised in a laboratory, contrary to popular opinion, the result is not at all the same.

[P181] The consciousnes in your great cities is particularly limited because most of those who live there are very competitive, very time and fashion oriented, and very fearful and unaccepting of density of consciousness. What those who come here from other universes see when they look upon your cities is a dense network of multicoloured light, low frequency thoughts of a very liited consciousness displayed as light field.
The higher frequency thoughts of superconsciousness are those of Isness, being, life, harmony, oneness, ongoingness. They are the thought of love. hey are the thoughts of joy. They are the thoughts of genius.
The higher frequency thoughts can be more easily experienced in the consciousness of the wilderness, away from the stagnated thinking of man, because there, life is simple, timless, ongoing, and i compelte harmony with itself. There away from the jugement of man, yuo ca hear the heartbeat of your own knowingness.

Excerpts from EXOPOLITICS – Extra Terrestrials
Posted by Kit in science, spirituality on January 2, 2010
Excerpts from Dr Michael Salla’s book: EXOPOLITICS
There are an extensive number of extraterrestrial races known to be currently interacting with Earth and the human population. In a 1998 interview, Clifford Stone, a retired US army Sergeant who served in the US Army for 22 years and participated in covert operations to retrieve crashed extraterrestrial ships and extraterrestrial biological entities (EBE’s), revealed there were a total of 57 extraterrestrial races known to the US military. [2] From this pool of extraterrestrial races, a number are more active than others, and can be claimed to have the most significance for human evolution and sovereignty. The extensive number of reports and testimonies concerning different extraterrestrial races indicates that the motivations and activities of extraterrestrial races vary greatly, and an idea of these motivations can be distilled from close examination of these reports and testimonies.
Volunteer Souls – Dolores Cannon
Posted by Kit in science, spirituality on January 1, 2010
Past-life regressionist and author Dolores Cannon discussed the waves of people known as “volunteers,” aliens in human form, who are coming to Earth in increasing numbers, and other “lost knowledge” she derived from her hypnosis sessions with clients placed in deep trance. While ETs seeded the planet, and developed the human race from monkeys, it is only in the last 50 years or so, that volunteer souls from other planets and spiritual dimensions have been coming to Earth to be born in human bodies, she explained. The timing of this relates to the development of nuclear weapons in the 1940s, and the aliens’ concern that humanity might destroy itself, she continued. Because the ETs have a policy of non-interference, they felt that bringing new souls, without previous karma, to Earth could bring about a positive change from within, she said.
An infinite, silent energy field
Posted by Kit in development, science, spirituality on October 6, 2009
Get a beautiful flower and hold it in front of you. Inhale the fragrance and say to yourself “Without me, this flower would have no fragrance” Take in the glowing colour and say to yourself “Without me, this flower would have no colour” Stroke the velvety petals and say to yourself” Without me, this flower would have no texture”. Realise that if you subtract yourself from any sensation – sight, sound, touch, taste, smell – the flower would be nothing but atoms vibrating in a void.
Now consider the DNA that is inside each cell of the flower. Visualise the billions of atoms strung along a double helix and say to yourself ” My DNA is looking at the DNA in this flower. The experience is not an observer looking at an object. DNA in one form is looking at DNA in another form” Now see the DNA begin to shimmer and turn into invisible vibrations of energy. Say to yourself “The flower has vanished into it’s primal energy. I have vanished into my primal energy. Now only one energy field is looking at another energy field.”
Finally see the boundary between your energy and the flower’s energy fade as one set of waves merges into another, like ocean waves rising and falling on the vast surface of an endless sea. Say to yourself, “All energy comes from one source and returns to it. When I look at the flower, a tiny flicker of infinity is rising from the source to experience itself”
Having followed this trail, you have arrived at what is truly real: An infinite, silent energy field flickered for an instant, experiencing an object (the flower) and a subject (you the observer) without going anywhere. Awareness simply took a look at one aspect of its eternal beauty. Its only motive was to create a moment of joy. You and the flower stood at opposite poles of that moment, yet there was no separation. A single creative stroke took place, fusing you both.

Oneness

[P136] We are standing by a flowing stream, the surface awash with busy bubbles. You call out to them, “So what are you then?” With some indignation, most of them reply, “We’re bubbles”, and hurry on in a state of haughty offence. But there are other bubbles who do not appear so indignant, and you dare ask them the same question. “So what are you then?”
Their reply is as peaceful as that of the others was turbulent. “We’re stream”, they say.
A sense of distinctiveness without a sense of difference is a most skillful attitude to acquire.

Love and relationships
Posted by Kit in development, relationships, spirituality on June 16, 2009
[P115] So now, as parents, spouses and loved ones, seek not to make of your love a glue that binds, but rather a magnet that first attracts, then turns around and repels, lest those who are attracted begin to believe they must stick to you to survive. Nothing could be further from the truth. Nothing could be more damaging to another.
Let your love propel your beloveds into the world – and into the full experience of who they are. In this will you have truly loved.
[P122] The purpose of a relationship is to decide what part of yourself you’d like to see ” show up”, not part of another you can capture and hold.
[P123] Here is the paradox of all human relationship: You have no need for a particular other in order for you to experience, fully, Who You Are, and…without another, you are nothing.
This is both the mystery and the wonder, the frustration and the joy of the human experience. It require deep understanding and total willingness to live within this paradox in a way which makes sense.
[P125]
…Losing of the Self in a relationship is what causes most of the bitterness in such couplings.
Manifesting
Posted by Kit in inspiration, spirituality on June 15, 2009
[P20] The deepest secret is that life is not a process of discovery, but a process of creation.
You are not discovering yourself, but creating yourself anew. Seek, therefore, not to find out Who You Are, seek to determine Who You Want to Be.
[P74] Thought is the first level of creation.
Next comes the word. Every thing you say is a thought expressed. It is creative and sends forth creative energy into the universe. Words are more dynamic (thus, some might say more creative) than thought, because words are a different level of vibration from thought. They disrupt (change, alter, affect) the universe with greater impact.
[P91] That which you think of, but never thereafter never speak of, creates at one level. That which you think of and speak of, creates at another level. That which you think, speak and do becomes made manifest in your reality.
To think, speak and do something which you do not truly believe is impossible. Therefore, the process of creation must include belief, or knowing. This is absolute faith. This is beyond hoping. This is knowing of a certainty. Therefore, the doing part of creation always includes knowing. It is a gut-level clarity, a total certainty, a complete acceptance as reality of something.
This place of knowing is a place of intense and incredible gratitude. It is a thankfulness in advance. And that, perhaps, is the biggest key to creation: to be grateful before, and for, the creation. Such taking for granted is not only condoned, but encouraged. It is the sure sign of mastery. All masters know in advanced that the deed has been done.

Pain
Posted by Kit in inspiration, spirituality on June 15, 2009
[P37] Pain results from a judgment you have made about a thing. Remove the judgement and the pain disappears.
[P134] Yes, the things that others think, say, or do will sometimes hurt you – until they do not anymore. What will get you from here to there most quickly is total honesty – being willing to assert, acknowledge, and declare exactly how you feel about a thing. Say your truth – kindly, but fully and completely. Live your truth, gently, but totally and consistently. Change your truth easily and quickly when your experience brings you new clarity.

Synchronicity
Posted by Kit in inspiration, spirituality on June 14, 2009
[P58] There are no coincidences in the universe. I have heard the crying of your heart. I have seen the searching of your soul. I know how deeply you have desired the truth. So go ahead. Ask me anything. Anything. I will contrive to bring you the answer. The whole universe will I use to do this. So be on the lookout. This book is far from only tool. You may ask a question, then put this book down. But watch. Listen. The words to next song you hear. The information in the next article you read. The storyline of the next movie you watch. The chance utterance of the next person you meet. Or the whisper of the next river, the next ocean, the next breeze that caresses your ear – all these devises are mine; all these avenues are open to me. I will speak if you will listen. I will come to you if you will invite me. I will show you then that I have always been there. All ways.

Living consciously
Posted by Kit in inspiration, spirituality on June 10, 2009
[P77] Go to your highest thought about yourself. Imagine the you that you would be if you lived that thought every day. Imagine what you would think, do, and say, and how you would respond to what others do and say.
Do you see any difference in that projection and what you think, do and say now?
This will require tremendous mental and physical effort. It will entail constant, moment-to-moment monitoring of your every thought, word and deed. It will involve continued choice-making consciously. This whole process is a massive move to consciousness. What you will find out if you undertake this challenge is that you’ve spent half your life unconscious. That is to say, unaware on a conscious level of what you are choosing in the way of thoughts, words and deeds until you experience the aftermath of them. Them when you experience these results, you deny that your thoughts, words, and deeds had anything to do with them.
This is a call to stop such unconscious living. It is a challenge to which your soul has called you from the beginning of time.
[P79] So – do you want your life to “take off”? Begin at once to imagine it they way you want it to be – and move into that. Check every thought, word and action that does not fall into harmony with that. Move away from those.
When you have a thought that is not in alignment with your higher vision, change to a new thought, then and there. When you say a thing that is out of alignment with your grandest idea, make a note not to say something like that again. When you do a thing that is misaligned with your best intention, decide to make that the last time. And make it right with whomever was involved if you can.

Spiritual Journey – Inspiration
Posted by Kit in inspiration, spirituality on May 14, 2009
[P365] I would like to introduce you to yourself.
You will not find yourself running from teacher to teacher, from book to book. You will not meet yourself through following any particular specialised method of meditation. Only by looking quietly within the self that you know can your own reality be experienced, with those connections that exist between the present or immediate self and the inner identity that is multidimensional.
There must be a willingness, an acquiescence, a desire. If you do not take the time to examine your own subjective states, then you cannot complain if so many answers seem to elude you. You cannot throw the burden of proof upon another, or expect man or teacher to prove to you the validity of your own existence. Such a procedure is bound to lead you into one subjective trap after another.
As you sit reading, the doorways within are open. You have only to experience the moment as you know it as fully as possible – as it exists physically within the room, or outside in the streets of the city in which you live. Imagine the experience present in one moment of time over the globe, then try to appreciate the subjective experience of your own that exists in the moment and yet escapes it – and this multiplied by each living individual
[P405] True spirituality is a thing of joy and of the earth, and has nothing to do with fake adult dignity. It has nothing to do with long words and sorrowful faces. It has to do with the dance of consciousness that is within you, and with the sense of spiritual adventure that is within your hearts.
So do not think you are being spiritual when you are being long-faced, and do not think you are being spiritual when you berate yourself for your sins. The seasons within your system come and go. The sun falls upon your face whether you think you are a sinner or a saint. The vitality of the universe is creativity and joy and love, and that is spirituality.

Limitless Mind – Remote Viewing
Posted by Kit in spirituality on May 14, 2009
A few weeks ago I read ‘Limitless Mind’ by Russel Targ. It totally opened my mind up to the subject of remote viewing and the unlimited possibilities of consciousness. It was filled with awesome case studies and facts that blew me away. Here’s one that was pretty cool:
[P86] In the lab, we know that if we show a frightening picture to a person, there will be significant change in his or her physiology. Blood pressure, heart rate and skin resistance will all change. This flight or fight reaction is called an “orienting response”. Researcher Dean Radin at the University of Nevada (now at the Institutue of Noetic Sciences) has shown that this orienting response is also observed in a person’s physiology a few seconds before they see the scary picture. In balanced double-blind experiments, Radin has demonstrated that if experimental subjects are about to see scenes of sexuality, violence or mayhem, their bodies will steel themselves against the surprise, shock or insult. But if the subjects are about to see a picture of a flower garden, there is no such strong anticipatory reaction – even before the picture is randomly selected! Fear is much easier to measure physiologically than bliss.
The blurb about the book:
The psychic abilities of most humans are dampened by the clatter of our conscious minds. In this timely book, Russell Targ draws on the work of ancient mystics and traditions – Gnostic, Christian, Buddhist, Kabalistic Jewish, Sufi, yogi, and especially Hindu spiritual master Patanjali – to show readers how to quiet this noise and see into the far reaches of time and space through remote viewing. This psychic ability offers a path of self-inquiry and self-realization and expands each person’s limited awareness of the consciousness shared by all humans. Targ explores its scientific as well as spiritual implications and offers techniques and exercises to nurture this universal but mostly untapped skill.

[P67] Processing Energy: Earth connections
Every day take a few minutes to appreciate the Earth. Stand, sit or lie on the Earth, the grass, the ground, or the floor. Allow yourself to be held, to be nurtured, by the Earth. Even if you are lying on a carpet on a floor, you are being held by the Earth. The floor and carpet are holding you, but what is holding them? Spend at least five minutes. Entrust yourself completely to the Earth for a few minutes each day.
This is sacred time.

You are physically a part of the earth
Posted by Kit in science, spirituality on May 13, 2009
[P311] I have told you often that you do yourself a grave injustice by limiting your conception of the self. Your sense of identity, freedom, power and love would be immeasurably enhanced if you could understand that what you are does not end at the boundaries of your skin, but continues outward through the physical environment that seems to be impersonal, or not-self.
Biologically it should be easy to understand that you are physically a part of the earth and everything within it. You are made of the same elements, you breathe the same air. You cannot hold the air that you take within you and then say, “This is myself, filled with this air. I will not let it go” or you would find out very quickly that you were not nearly so independent.
You are biologically connected, chemically connected with the earth that you know; but since it is also formed naturally and spontaneously from your own projected psychic energy, since you and the seasons even have a psychic interaction, then the self must be understood in a far greater context. Such a context would allow you to share in life experiences of many other forms, to follow patterns of energy and emotions of which you barely conceive, and to sense a world-consciousness in which you have your own independent part.

Your source of power
Posted by Kit in exercises, spirituality on May 12, 2009
[P77] For now, here is one quite effective but simple exercise. Close your eyes after having read this chapter to this point, and try to sense within yourself the source of power from which your own breathing and life forces come. Some of you will do this successfully at your first try. Others my take longer. When you feel within yourself this source, then try to sense this power flow outward through your entire physical being, through the fingertips and toes, through the pores of your body, all directions, with yourself as centre. Imagine the rays undiminished, reaching then through the foliage and clouds above, through the centre of the earth below, extending even to the farthest reaches of the universe.
Now I do not mean this to be a merely symbolic exercise, for though it may begin with imagination, it is based upon fact and emanations from your consciousness and the creativity of your soul do indeed reach outward in that manner. The exercise will give you some idea of the true nature, creativity and vitality of the soul from which you can draw your own energy and of which you are an individual and unique portion.

Steve Pavlina has a cool article about this here, he writes:
The mindset of empowered relationships
So what is the mindset that makes it so much easier to relate to people? Here it is in a nutshell:
Everyone you meet in your life — even total strangers — is already intimately connected to you. The idea that we are all separate and distinct beings is nothing but an illusion. We are all parts of a larger whole, like individual cells in a body.
Moreover, everyone and everything you see out there in your world are reflections of you. Just as the cells in an organism carry the same DNA, other people are walking around with some part of you inside them. When you look at other people, you’re really looking at yourself. When you notice other people, it’s just like your eyes observing your hands. We’re all parts of the same whole.
Here are some facets of this interconnected model of relationships:
* Oneness – Other people are not separate and distinct from you. In fact, they are you.
* Connectedness – You don’t have to “build” relationships with others because you’re already connected. You need only tune into the pre-existing connection that’s already there.
* No risk – Little or no courage is required to approach strangers. You’re never actually building new connections from scratch. You’re just recognizing what’s already there.
* Equality – You can feel just as close to total strangers as you do to your friends.
* Significance – All relationships are significant; none are irrelevant. Even the strangers you pass on the street are important parts of you.
* Love without attachment – Letting go of harmful relationships is easier because you’re still unconditionally connected to everyone else. As you release old relationships that no longer serve you, you’ll attract new ones that are compatible with you.
…I think the reason this mindset is so effective is that when you assume a pre-existing connection with another person, s/he will tend to respond in kind. Usually the best way to break the ice with someone is to assume there never was any ice to begin with.
Applying the empowering mindset
When you adopt the mindset that we’re all inherently connected, these are some of the actions and results that will come naturally to you:
* Easy rapport – You’ll connect with strangers almost as easily as you connect with your closest friends, sometimes more easily. The difference between strangers and friends is intellectual familiarity, but you can tap into an intuitive familiarity even with someone you’ve never met.
* Fairness – You’ll begin to feel a kinship with everyone, regardless of familiarity.
* Attraction – Because you’re always open to connecting with people, you’ll begin attracting new relationships fairly easily. Compatible people will be drawn to you.
* Synchronicity – You’ll experience a swell in synchronicities that lead to chance encounters, meeting people you feel very drawn to meet.
* Social courage – Have you ever seen someone at a distance you felt you were supposed to meet? Have you ever run into the same stranger multiple times in the same day? With the right belief system, you’ll feel confident beginning a conversation with such people, and you’ll find that your hunches were right on — you were supposed to meet.
* Deeper relationships – You’ll enjoy deeper, less superficial relationships, getting to know people at the level of soul.
* Energy – You’ll attract relationships that energize you rather than drain you.
* Reading people – Because we’re all connected, you can mentally connect with other people and literally share the same thoughts in a way that goes beyond words, voice, and body language. You can even do it at a distance. With practice you can get an accurate read on someone you’ve never met, picking up specific data about that person that you couldn’t have known in a purely objective sense. Practice increases both your accuracy and your ability to trust the information you pick up.
Seths comment on ego

[P12] The ego is a jealous god, and it wants its interests served. It does not want to admit the reality of any dimensions except those within which it feels comfortable and can understand. It was meant to be an aid but it had been allowed to become a tyrant. Even so, it is much more resilient and eager to learn than is generally supposed. It is not natively as rigid as it seems. Its curiosity can be of great value.
